MUTTER PANEER

I had tasted paneer butter masala only in restaurants.My daughter loves paneer and I have started learning side dishes with paneer from friends and other blogs.I have already posted a recipe for paneer butter masala which I make atleast once in a month. For a variation I thought of trying with green peas and paneer and came out excellent

Ingredients
Paneer: 1.5 cups
Frozen Peas: 1/2 cups
Onions: 1 medium sized
Tomatoes: 3 medium sized
Cashews: 1 tablespoon
Grated ginger: 2 tsp
Turmeric powder: 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Cumin powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder: 1/2 tsp
Salt: 1.25 tp (or to taste)
Sugar: 1/2 tsp
Kasoori methi: 1 tablespoon
Butter: 2 tablespoon

Procedure:
  1. Heat 2 tsp of butter in a pan and fry the cashews
  2. Add chopped onions and ginger and fry until the onions become translucent
  3. Add tomatoes and turmeric powder and cook until the tomatoes get mushy
  4. Allow this to cool
  5. Grind this to a smooth paste in a blender. Add 1/2 cup while grinding
  6. Heat the remaining butter and add this tomato paste
  7. Add chilli powder, coriander powder & cumin powder and cook until the butter gets separated
  8. Add salt and sugar.
  9. Add frozen peas and cook for around 5 minutes
  10. Finally add cubed paneer and cook for a couple of minutes
