Fruit custard is a very easy dessert that can be put together within minutes. Kids who refuse to eat fruits will definitely love to have this. I just followed the instructions in the ready made custard mix
Step by Step pictures
Notes:
1) Do not add watermelon and orange. They ooze out lots of liquid.
2) Mix the fruits with custard only just before serving
3) If the fruits are already sweet, reduce the amount of sugar
4) If the custard becomes too thick, add some more milk
Ingredients
Milk: 1.5 cups
Custard powder: 1 tablespoon
Sugar: 2 tablespoon
Vanilla extract: 1/2 tsp
Chopped fruits: 1 cup
Procedure:
1) Mix custard powder and sugar together
2) Add 1 tablespoon of milk and mix well with a whisk without any lumps
3) Boil 1.5 cups of milk
4) Once it comes to a boil ,add the custard mix
5) Simmer and mix well until it reaches thick consistency
6) The custard will thicken once it is chilled. So remove from flame just before the required consistency is reached
7) Allow to cool and refrgerate if required
8) Meanwhile chop the fruits into small cubes (For apples, pears coat with little sugar to avoid discoloring)
9) Arrange the fruits in the serving bowl and top it with required amount of custard
