Ingredients
Sooji/Rava (Coarse variety): 1 cup
Rice flour: 1 cup
All purpose flour/Maida: 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
Hing: a pinch
Salt: 1 tsp
Chopped green chilli: 1 tablespoon
Chopped ginger: 1 tablespoon
Pepper corns (broken coarsely): 1/2 tsp
Sour buttermilk: 1/2 cup
Water: 4 cups
Onions (finely choped): 1/2 cup(optional)
Cliantro choped: 1 tablespoon
Procedure:
Step1:
Mix rice flour, rava , all purpose flour and salt together
Step2:
Add all the spices and mix well (Cumin seeds, pepper, chilli, ginger, hing)
Step3:
Now add water and buttermilk and mix well. The batter will be of thin consistency unlike usual dosa batter
Step4:
Heat the tawa and pour the batter from the sides and shake the tawa a bit
Note: Add the chopped onions first on the tawa and then the batter. This way the dosa will not stick to the tawa
Step5:
Pour ghee on the sides and cook in medium - high flame for 3-4 minutes.
Step6:
Serve hot with chutney
Suggested accompaniments
