Ingredients
Oats: 1 cup
Almond: 1/4 cup
Wheat flour: 1/2 cup
Dessicated coconut:1/4 cup
White granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
Brown sugar:1/4 cup
Vanilla extract:1/2 tsp
Butter: 1/4 cup
Crisco/vegetable shortening: 1/4 cup (Can replace with butter as well)
Milk: 1 or 2 tablespoon
Procedure:
Step1:
Grind the almonds to a coarse powder using food processor using pulse mode.
Step2:
Grind the oats as well
Step3:
Beat the butter and sugar together.Add vegetable shortening and vanilla extract to it
Step4:
Now add all the dry ingredients and make a pliable dough. Add 1 tablespoon of milk to get the right consistency
Step5:
Cover it using a cling wrap and refrigerate for about 30 min
Step6:
Roll the dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut it using cookie cutter
Step7:
Bake in a preheated oven of 320F to 20 minutes or until it turns light brown
