Serves: 1 loaf
Ingredients
Chopped Dates: 1 cup
Wheat flour: 1.5 cups
All purpose flour: 1/2 cup
Sugar: 1/2 cup
Baking powder: 1.5 tsp
Salt: 1/4 tsp
Butter: 1/2 stick (1/4 cup)
Unsweetened Applesauce(with cinnamon flavour): 1 cup (8 oz)
Walnuts toasted: 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
Milk: 1/4 cup
Procedure:
Step1:
Soak the dates in very hot water for 30 minutes
Step2:
Mix all the dry ingredients together
Step3:
Now add all the wet ingredients and also the soaked dates along with water
Step4:
Add toasted walnuts and mix both the dry and wet ingredients well
Step5:
Bake in a preheated oven at 350 Fahrenheit for 60 minutes in a greased loaf pan
Step6:
Allow it cool on a cooling rack
