Arisi Murukku |
Level: Medium
Cooking Time: 30 min
Serves: 3 dozen small sized muruku
Ingredients
Rice flour: 1.5 cups
Salt: 1.5 tsp
Fried gram (Odacha kadala): 1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds(Jeera)/Ajwain(omam): 1 tsp
Butter: 1 table spoon
Water: 3/4 cup (Approx)
Procedure:
Step 1:
Powder the fried gram to a fine powder in a mixie and sieve it.
Step2:
Mix all the ingredients to gether and knead it to a thick dough using water
Step3:
In a wax paper/aliminium foil make the muruku using muruku maker
Step 4:
Deep fry the murukku in oil
Notes:
Fry only in medium flame
Sift the powdered fried gram.Do not skip this step.Otherwise the muruku might burst
The dough should not be too thick.Otherwise while pressing the muruku, it will not come evenly

i tried this murukku few days back..really tasted very good n crispy but i am not able to hold the shape..it get broke while pressing with the chakli mould..dunno y.plz can u tell me where i went wrong..thanx
