Ingredients:
Whole Wheat Flour – 1 cup
All purpose flour - 1 cup
Ripe Bananas – 3 mashed
Butter – 1/2 stick
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Applesauce/Water – 4 oz
Baking Soda – 1 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Vanilla Extract – 1 tsp
Walnuts chopped – 1/2 cup
Procedure
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together (flour, sugar, salt and baking soda)
- Puree the bananas or mash well and add apple sauce, vanilla extract and butter and mix well
- Add both the dry and wet ingredients together and mix well. Add chopped walnuts
- Pour the batter into greased loaf pan
- Bake at 375 F for 1 hour
- Allow the bread to cool completely and slice them
